Distance learning often called distance education, is a way of learning without being in face-to-face contact with a teacher in the classroom and it is the process without having physically attend a school. Distance learning is increasing in popularity as technology advances and more opportunities arise for pupils to participate in quality distance education. There are many reasons why students may want to pursue distance education as opposed to traditional schooling. Similarly, there are advantages and disadvantages to this kind of learning, and now I want to talk about advantages of distance learning. First of all, the children are able to independently work and search for information about the lesson with interest and responsibility. If they are self-disciplined and self-motivated, the best benefit of distance education is that they can learn at their own pace. It's a known fact that different people learn in different ways and at different speeds. In a classroom, when everyone is being taught together, it is often difficult to have every student on the same page. Some students are too shy to raise their doubts in class. Distance education comes to their rescue here! The second feature is “Technology is a modern requirement”, which means that the child is fluent in technologies such as computers, tablets, laptops, phones. Moreover you can study whenever, wherever: you can pretty much study whenever you want to, wherever you choose to. You don’t need to be stuck in a classroom, but can go study in your garden, on your living room or in the comfort of your own bed. Irrespective of whether you're a morning lark or a night owl, you can choose an optimum time to study. The third feature is time efficiency. Distance learning provides people with the great opportunity not to waste their time. For instance, pupils should not get to the place where the lesson takes part because the computer is only thing they need to get knowledge. There's no time wasted in going to and from school, no time wasted waiting for a bus. In a distance learning program, your classroom is right in your bedroom - the study material on your desk or the e-material on your computer. The children can spend most of their time doing what they want. To conclude, nowadays even though there are controversial points of view on distance learning, it is the fact that it is possible to conduct training. The child seeks knowledge on his own, and the teacher guides him. In short, it is a kind of future school. And I firmly believe that it is certainly the most convenient and beneficial learning for people.
